Trying to get through reality

Ok this is it. I am changing some things. This blog used to be about fashion and don't get me wrong I am still very much into it. The reason I didn't update so much was because i started it when I was still studying for my degree and although that was hard, working in fashion was of course taking up all of my time.
I worked at an atelier for a little bit more that a year, which I loved but after that i wanted to try something else. So i started working for a website as a fashion editor. That was cool for a little bit and will love doing that again but with a little bit more freedom. I mean not someone else telling me exactly what to put on my article. What's the point in that right?
After that i worked for a very famous Greek Stylist and later on a greek fashion company which realised after a few months that they couldn't support my salary. So they fired me.

Here I am now reading books all day long, movies, tv shows and trying to get out of bed every morning. Because when you don't have any obligations for the day, believe me when I say you feel that there is no reason to get up and live.

Trying to find a job in the fashion industry was always very difficult, but try finding one in this economic crisis is just impossible.

So to keep me a little bit motivated I am going to use you as my therapy.

I always had a thing for trying new recipes, which of course I found on Pinterest. I am going to post here some that i have found were good because as you know there are many recipes for exactly the same thing. God (and my boyfriend) only knows how many Cinnabon recipes i have tried.


Oh! In the picture it's me and my two best friends, the middle one has just graduated and the short one (sorry) just got married, i was her maid of honor, or as we say koumpara in Greece. These two help me a lot and they keep trying to motivate me. So they deserve being in the photo :)

Polka dot all the way

To πουά από τότε που εμφανίστηκε ουσιαστικά δεν έχει φύγει από τη μόδα. Είναι ένα ρομαντικό print που πλέον θεωρείται κλασσικό και δεν πρέπει να θεωρείται ότι θα είστε πολύ "κοριτσάκι" αν το φορέσετε! Πρωτοεμφανίστηκε τον 19ο αιώνα και πήρε το όνομά του από τον χωρώ πόλκα που είχε βγει τότε (το πουά στα αγγλικά είναι polka dot) και τα τελευταία χρόνια το βλέπουμε συχνά και σαν κυρίαρχο trend της σεζόν αλλά ακόμα και όταν δεν είναι παραμένει στις ντουλάπες μας, ίσως σε έναν πιο απλό συνδυασμό, αυτό του μπλε με λευκές βούλες. Συνδυάζετε εύκολα σχετικά με τα πάντα, κάνει ένα σύνολο διαφορετικό και ιδιαίτερο ενώ φοριέται από το πρωί μέχρι το βράδυ και όλες τις εποχές! Αν σας ανησυχεί η "παιδικότητα" μπορείτε να το περιορίσετε στα αξεσουάρ σας, αλλά μην το αφήσετε έξω από τη γκαρνταρόμπα σας γιατί θα χάσετε. 

You just can't go wrong with polka dots. I love them cause i'm a print kind of gal and i truly believe it's a classic. Maybe it's not exactly on this season trend list but are you gonna stay away for so long? Play it up and wear it with other prints. Yes, i'm THAT person.

LOVE covers

God i hate choosing covers, especially when it comes to LOVE magazine!!! But this time i think i prefer the second one, that's until the others come out of course. I know the desicion couldn't possibly be that easy!

"Back for a Walk of Confidence"

That's the photoshoot i did for the collection i designed, for my BA degree. I chose to create a collection inspired by the triangle and the circle and using handmade knit (which i did all by my myself) and leather.

Fashion People Necklaces

How freakin cool is that?!? I love them all! The artist made them with those colorfull little thingings we used to play with when we were young...(?). Please tell me the name of those. Maybe i have to start using them again... not bad. I think it's very creatice actually!

Fashion Miniatures

The photos are from an LV collaboration with the genius phographer Vincent Bousserez. There kinda quirky and playfull and unexpected cause well... it's LV and usually they like a more "adult" eye when it comes to their accessory line. Right? (it's where the money comes from people). Still, i can't help but smile everytime i see the photos. There is a special place in my heart for the one with the flowers, and the one with the glasses. Which one do you like??
